2022 Ford Maverick

The all-new 2022 Ford Maverick comes with three trim options, the XL, XLT, or the Lariat. This compact truck comes in a variety of appealing colors, such as Shadow Black, Cactus Gray, Iconic Silver, and Velocity Blue. The Maverick comes standard with 17-inch silver steel wheels or 18-inch aluminum wheels, depending on your trim model.

There are also many exterior upgrade options that can improve your truck's looks, performance, and capabilities. You can choose to add molded splash guards, box covers, a bed extender, or a bed tray liner. Other options include protective films, window air deflectors, a cargo bed net, and Aeroskin hood deflectors.

All trim models can come with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine or a 2.5-liter hybrid engine. The 2.0-liter engine is capable of producing 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Looking at the hybrid engine, you can expect up to 191 combined horsepower between the hybrid and gas output along with 155 pound-feet of torque. Each drive train automatically comes in forward-wheel drive with certain trim models having the opportunity to upgrade to all-wheel drive. Depending on the engine and trim model, you can either have an automatic continuously variable transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission.

This versatile truck can handle 1,500 pounds of standard payload, tow 4,000 pounds, and journey off-road. With an independent rear suspension, wide body, and smaller frame than that of other trucks, the Maverick can deftly navigate city streets or country roads with ease. Fuel economy remains nearly the same between the forward-wheel and all-wheel drive with a combined fuel rating of 26 mpg and 25 mpg, respectively. If you opt for the hybrid engine, you can expect an EPA-estimated fuel rating of 42 mpg in the city, 33 mpg on the highway, with a combined rating of 37 mpg.

Two-tone cloth seating comes standard in each trim model, with different coloring options such as black onyx, dark slate, and desert brown. The five-seat interior has plenty of leg and head space, making it a comfortable drive for everyone. Thoughtful designs made it possible for standard door pocket, center console, and rear under-seat storage that lets you pack away whatever you might need for the day.

Other standard interior features include an eight-inch touch screen infotainment center that has Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto technology. It also comes with a standard six-speaker sound system that you can upgrade to an eight-speaker B&O sound system.
