2022 Ford Edge

The 2022 Ford Edge comes in five trim levels: the SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and ST. While the SE has 18-inch silver-painted alloy wheels, the ST-Line features 20-inch black-painted alloy wheels, and the Titanium has 19-inch nickel-painted alloy wheels. Further differentiating these trim levels, the ST-Line comes with a black exterior trim, while the Titanium trim level has a hands-free liftgate and rain-sensing wipers.

Apart from the high-end ST, every Ford Edge comes with a 2-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This powertrain generates 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. In contrast, the ST trim level features a turbocharged, 2.7-liter V-6 engine that generates 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.

New in 2022, every Ford Edge trim now comes with standard all-wheel drive, making it easier to navigate a variety of terrain and weather conditions. Paired with the 2-liter engine, the Edge's 8-speed automatic transmission offers smooth acceleration and superior handling. Meanwhile, the 2.7-liter engine comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission. In terms of fuel efficiency, the 2.7-liter engine gets 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. In comparison, the 2-liter engine gets 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

The 2022 Ford Edge also comes with towing capabilities. With the 2-liter engine, you can tow up to 1,500 pounds, while the 2.7-liter can tow up to 3,500 pounds. The Edge can even handle off-road driving thanks to its suspension system.

This five-seater SUV offers a spacious interior with many desirable amenities. The cabin maintains a quiet environment even at high speeds on the highway. You also get easy-to-use controls, such as those for the SUV's climate system. Other interior amenities include leather upholstery with the Titanium trim level and leather and suede-like upholstery with the ST.

The Ford Edge also comes with an abundance of entertainment technology for you and your passengers to enjoy. Every Edge features a 12-inch infotainment system, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect your smartphone to your vehicle's infotainment system so you can easily play music, answer phone calls, and access your phone's navigation system. In addition, the Edge comes with an audio system that includes six, nine, or 12 speakers, depending on its trim level.

The 2022 Edge's abundance of safety technology can keep you safe on the road. All trims come standard with Ford Co-Pilot360, a package that provides features like automatic high beams, a blind-spot monitor with a cross-traffic alert, a lane-keeping system, and a forward collision mitigation system. If you opt for a trim level outside of the SE, you can add on the Ford Co-Pilot360+ Assist package. This optional package comes with a navigation system, an adaptive cruise control, and an evasive steering assist.
